Walter Paulus is a bow maker in Germany who has supplied us for years in the highest quality frogs. This week, we are expecting a delivery of accessories for Paulus frogs, including ferrules, wrap (whalebone and silver, nickel silver), leather for thumb grips, tip plates and padding, wedges and shell for slides, eyes and buttons.

We do not sell these products to just anybody. They are exclusive, expensive, and hard to come by. We buy our bow hair direct from the farmers and farm managers. We do not go through a third party. We buy directly from the farmers and farm managers ourselves. We visit them in person every two years. This is taxing and expensive work and we are a small company. The supplier of our Select Mongolian hair operates a small shop in China that focuses on this particular trade - that of providing high quality bow hair. The artisans in his shop sort the unbleached hair strand by strand to select out the finest grade of hair for this topmost grade. Each hank contains more than enough hair to string a single bow.
